House Director, Melissa Fajardo

As a house director for Beta Theta Pi, Melissa Fajardo is a full-time staff member of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. She is responsible for the quality of living in the fraternity house at the University of South Carolina. Primary duties include supervision of facility staff, support for student learning and development, residential program development and implementation, administration and facility management, crisis management and student counseling.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a master’s degree in college student personnel from the University of Rhode Island.

During graduate school, Melissa served as a graduate assistant for the College Student Personnel Program and the Office of International Studies. She completed a practicum and internship at Providence College in the Office of Student Activities and Student Involvement and in the Office of Community Standards.

Melissa says her favorite thing about working at USC is having the ability to have a positive impact on the young men as they develop and grow.

4. Career Services/Resume Building (Partnered with Career Services) - Reminder: Time spent in career services is inversely proportionate to time spent living in your parents' basement.

  • Learn to write, create a resume and help interviews tips to get you a job this is workforce.

5. Emergency Evacuation Planning refresher.

  • Residents of Beta Theta Pi will learn what to do or where to go in case of an emergency.

House Manager, Chris Angiolino

My job is to work as a liaison between the chapter and the house director and the housing corporation.  I notify the house director of any repairs that need to be made throughout the year and also work with the chefs to create a weekly menu.  Also, myself and the house director work to provide programing opportunities in the house for the chapter.
